Time Saver I used this tool to clean up some Karaoke Zip Files, and it probably saved me about 4 days of Man hours. Very Handy, make sure to watch the video. The only thing I couldn't do was switch artist and song around without changing the whole tag, which could be that I'm still a rookie.

Not Good I was looking for a file re-name program that would shorten the name of a file that was invalid because the filename was longer than 255 characters. Your program was a waste of time to download and install. It is now un-installed.Stephen.

Huge data. Can not rename a huge number of files. For example can not rename 50000 tif files which in same file.

Excellent!!! I found this software very useful! Help you to save lots of time and you don't have to rename files manually anymore. You also can add numbers or delete them if necessary.

Was not what I needed The program was good at what it was probably written for. Only problem, it didn't address the problem I was trying to solve.

This is a great product but is too expensive. I downloaded it as it said its free but got a trial version that will only do 99 songs before it pauses and makes you wait for approx 440 seconds each time you want to rename another 99 songs. I have a lot of files to change: approx 10,000 and decided i would see how much it costs. Its over $50 AUS. If it was around $20 I would have paid it! and im sure im not the only one. These guys would make more $'s by reducing the price as more would actually afford to buy ...

This is the best program I have found to rename files. It gives you every option on renaming that you can imagine. I had used ACDSEE's automatic rename when transferring pictures and videos, but recently got an AVCHD camera, which ACDSEE does not support. I have been able to use THE Rename to get exactly the same file name types as with ACDSEE.

Wrong sequence in read only column Hi: I am trying out Multi-Filename Editor version 1.02.02 and it is working well and I will buy it. Just one irritant is that it changes the sequence of the files when it reads them from File Explorer. So if in Explorer the filenames are sorted into ascending sequence 1 2 3 4 then Multi-Filename Editor reads them as 4 1 2 3 and there appears to be no way to sort the read only first column. Do you know why it does that and whether I can change the sequence of the first column to match that in File Explorer?I have 1000's of jpg files that I ...

How the heck do you use it?

Hi guys, I only used it once, but I loved it. It was pretty intuitive. You have it crowded up at the top--I think you can use a little more space at the top. Explicit drop downs when right clicking over each function would be nice. What I really would like is a trial run, just to make sure what you think you are doing really happens, then push a second button to actually perform the operation on your files.Thanks,vlt

This is an excellent little program. I've only just started working with it but it looks like it has a lot of potential.

Not GUI Enough Nice program. Good effort. Maybe it's just me but I found it difficult to rename folders. If it were a little more graphical a guy like me could figure it out sooner. I read all the DOC's but I am going to have to experiment a little more. Nonetheless, I am always appreciative of freeware.

NameWiz review I decided to give this a try since we deal with 1000s of images at any given time. Installation was easy and straight forward and the software did a great job of re-numbering several hundred images on a test directory.
